Fujian Funing Shipbuilding set to build a 49-meter catamaran pure electric propulsion tourism passenger ship

On May 27th, Fujian Funing Shipbuilding Heavy Industry, a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group, successfully started the construction of a 49-meter catamaran pure electric propulsion tourism passenger ship “Yujian 77”.

“Yujian 77” is the key project of electric ship in Fujian Province, which is the first pure electric propulsion tourism passenger ship operated at sea in China.

The ship measures 49 meters in overall length, 15.30 meters in overall breadth, 14.50 meters in beam, 4.15 meters in depth, 2.65 meters in draught and 1.506 meters in dry side, with a maximum design speed of 11±0.5 knots in still water.

Its endurance is 5 hours ( at a speed of 9 knots ), the navigation area is coastal and it can accommodate 360 passengers. Designed in accordance with the special routes within the harbor of coastal navigation area, Class III Class 3 passenger ship, A1 radio navigation area, the ship’s stability meets the requirements of offshore navigation area.

After delivery, the ship will be operated as a cruise ship for sightseeing and light catering, with a style focusing on light luxury and romance, and it will be used for marine leisure and entertainment, sightseeing, conferences, catering and business charters.
