On May 22nd, Jiangnan Shipyard, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), signed and delivered the third 15,000 TEU dual-fuel container ship in the series built for CMA CGM Group. And this container ship was named as “CMA CGM GRACE BAY”.
There are six 15,000 TEU dual-fuel container ships in this series built by Jiangnan Shipyard for CMA CGM Group. With an overall length of 366 meters, a beam of 51 meters, and a service speed of 22 knots, this batch of container ships adopts GTT Mark Ⅲ LNG liquid cargo containment system, which is characterized by large container capacity, advanced technology, energy saving and environmental protection.
This batch of 15,000 TEU dual-fuel container ships adopts the world’s new generation of dual-fuel main engine with Intelligent Control Exhaust Gas Recycling (iCER) system, which can automatically track and dynamically adjust the ratio of air and gas through specific algorithms, and reduce methane escape by 50% in gas mode compared with previous container ships, which can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 28%.
It is understood that all six container ships in the series will be delivered in September 2024.
