Rizhao Kingda Shipbuilding Heavy Industry set to build several ships

On May 15-16, Rizhao Kingda Shipbuilding Heavy Industry under Shandong Port Equipment Group held steel cutting ceremony for a new energy bio-oil tanker and a 70-ton ASD Tug, which are built for Indonesian company.

The two 6,800m³ new energy bio-oil tankers of Indonesian company are 94 meters in overall length and 21 meters in beam. Classed by KR, they have a deadweight tonnage of about 6,000 tons with a cargo tank volume of about 6,800m³. After delivery, the two bio-oil tankers will be registered in Panama, one of which will be loaded with palm oil and the other loaded with crude glycerin.

In September last year, two 5,900m³ new energy bio-oil tankers signed between Shandong Port Equipment Group and Indonesian company were set to built, and the quality and production schedule of the bio-oil tankers were praised by the ship owner, who signed two new orders for the carriers.

The 70-ton ASD Tug is a new-generation tug developed specifically for European customers, equipped with dual-engine, dual-propeller full-swing propulsion system, FiFi-1 external fire-fighting system and other equipment and facilities.

It features good stability, seaworthiness and maneuverability, and can meet the requirements of harbor towing, external fire fighting and other operations, whose overall performance reaches the advanced level of international harbor tugs.
