On May 16, the 13,000DWT deck carrier No.12 built by Wuchang Shipbuilding of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) left smoothly, taking a solid step towards delivery on schedule.
It is reported that 13,000DWT deck carrier is the fourth batch of improved deck carriers independently designed by Wuchang Shipbuilding. It meets the latest EEDI Phase III energy efficiency requirements.
On the basis of appropriately reducing the power of the main engine, by using CFD optimization technology and carrying out the matching design of the engine-propeller and completing the matching optimization design of the propeller and the energy-saving device, thedeck carrier can achieve the optimization of the system’s energy efficiency, and the EEDI energy efficiency index can be reduced by 7.3%.
