CPGC Signs Methanol Dual Fuel Engine Contract with COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry

On May 16th, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Yangzhou), a subsidiary of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry, signed a contract for 7X82DF-M-1.0 methanol dual-fuel main engines in Shanghai with CSSC-MES Diesel (CMD), a subsidiary of CSSC Power (Group) Corporation (CPGC).

It is reported that the signing of the 7X82DF-M-1.0 methanol dual-fuel main engine is the first production in China, which is another deep and close cooperation between CPGC and COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry.

The main engine selects 7X82DF-M-1.0-LPSCR engine built by CMD under CPGC as the main power, which will be applied to the 325,000 DWT methanol dual-fuel powered VLOC project of COSCO Shipping Bulk.

It is of great significance to accelerate the layout of China’s green ship power and promote the process of “dual carbon” development.
