Diversified shipowner Pan Ocean continues to place orders for MR product tankers to expand its order book in the tanker market.
Pan Ocean is ordering two MR product tankers from an unnamed shipyard at a price of about $49 million each, for a total order value of about $98 million, which are expected to be delivered by April 2028, according to a Pan Ocean filing with the stock exchange.
This is the second MR-type product tanker order recently announced by Pan Ocean. The new shipbuildings will be equipped with desulphurization towers and are expected to be delivered between May and August 2026.
