Jiangnan Shipyard welcomes major production progress

On May 10, Jiangnan Shipyard (Group), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), delivered a 93,000 m³ very large liquefied gas vessel (VLGC).

The 93, 000 m³ VLGC delivered this time is the fourth generation of Jiangnan Shipyard’s independently developed and designed VLGC Panda 93P. With an overall length of 230 meters, a beam of 36.6 meters and a service speed of 16.5 knots, the VLGC adopts the fourth-generation patented line type (VS-Bow MK-IV), which provides excellent and balanced performance under full load, ballast and different specific gravity liquid cargo loading conditions.

At the same time, the VLGC can still ensure the arrival cargo capacity under the premise of using LPG fuel in the whole journey, and the performance indexes such as speed and fuel consumption are at the leading level in the industry, which is a “future-type” green ship.

On May 10th, the No.3 dock of Jiangnan Shipyard welcomed launching of the sixth 15,000 TEU dual-fuel container ship as well as the synchronized floating of the two halves of H2785’s bow and stern.

On the same day, the two fuel tanks of the second and third container ships (H2786 and H2787) in the series of 14,000 TEU dual-fuel container ships built for Pacific International Lines ( PIL) were also had a synchronized floating.

On May 10th, Jiangnan Shipbuilding kicked off the construction of the second container ship (H2790) of the 14000TEU series for BAL Container Line. The 14,000TEU container ship belongs to Jiangnan shipyard’s main products, which is a new type of high-efficiency, green, energy-saving and environmentally friendly ultra-large container ship independently researched, developed and designed by Jiangnan Research Institute.
