On May 9, COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers christened the fifth multi-purpose pulp vessel of the 77,000 DWT series, the new vessel is named “GREEN PARANAGUA”. This series vessel is the largest professional pulp vessel in the world.
“GREEN PARANAGUA” has an overall length of 225.00 meters, a beam of 32.26 meters and a depth of 21.00 meters, with a design speed of 15 knots. The cargo hold features good sealing and dryness, which can fully guarantee the quality and safety of pulp cargo transportation.
The pulp vessel has upgraded the “foldable frame for commercial vehicles” and added temperature monitoring and warning system for new energy vehicles, which can safely transport new energy vehicles while safely transporting imported pulp in high quality, and help the export of large quantities of domestic new energy vehicles.
In addition, the vessels can also transport various cargoes such as high-speed railway trains, wind power equipments, large mechanical equipments, ultra-long and ultra-heavy steel pipe pile structures, etc., with strong cargo hold suitability.
This series of vessels meet the highest requirements of international conventions (Tier III) for nitrogen oxide emissions, vibration noise meet the requirements of the RULES FOR GREEN ECO-SHIPS which is the latest effective standard of China Classification Society (CCS). Meanwhile, the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) of the vessel has far exceeded the requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Phase III.
It is reported that the first voyage of “GREEN PARANAGUA” will be put into the South America East Route, loading new energy vehicles from domestic ports to Brazil.
