Recently, with the last batch of completion documents formally handed over to AIDA Cruises, the work related to the completion documents of H1508, China first domestically large ship, was successfully completed.
The completion documents with cruise ship characteristics were handed over to the shipowner’s designated location in three stages based on different types and versions. The whole process of handing over work totaled 11 batches, covering multi-disciplines such as detailed design, equipment information and equipment certificates, with a single set of nearly 2,000 documents, about 680,000 documents.
It is reported that the project completion document of H1508, the first domestically large cruise ship, involves internal and external cross-collaboration between Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) and JVPC, classification societies, shipowner, suppliers, and other project-related parties. Also, the completion documents are a brand new challenge with various types and large quantities, new management modes and high requirements from shipowners.
The smooth handover of the completion documents of China’s first domestically cruise ship marks that SWS has gone through all the processes of completion document management characterized by large cruise ships, breaking through the complex procedures such as customs clearance and handover of the completion documents of international cruise ships after delivery.
