Catamaran high-performance wind power SOV “Haifeng 5203” completes its sea trials

On April 28, another catamaran high-performance wind power service operation vessel (SOV) “Haifeng 5203”, which was developed and invested by CCCC Haifeng Wind Power Development, successfully completed its sea trials.

It is understood that “Haifeng 5203” is the fifth SOV of Haifeng 5000 series invested and developed by CCCC Haifeng Wind Power Development, and also the third catamaran high-performance wind power SOV.

Classed by CCS, the SOV has a steel and aluminum catamaran structure with an overall length of 40 meters and a beam of 10.8 meters. It has a trial speed of about 18 knots, a range of 1,000 nautical miles, and a rated passenger capacity of 12, with the advantages of good speed and strong wave resistance.

During the sea trial, all the performances of the SOV have been fully verified. All the technical indexes of the SOV’s sailing test meet the design requirements, and the sailing speeds reported in the trial voyage are better than the design sailing speed indexes.
