JLS delivers three container ships within a week

Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Ship Industry Co., Ltd. (JLS) has successfully delivered the first and second unites of the series of 1,800 TEU container ships built for Malaysian ship owner MTT Shipping. The first 1,800 TEU container ship was signed and delivered on April 22nd, and the second one was successfully delivered on April 26th.

Classed BV, the 1,800 TEU container ship has an overall length of about 172.00m, a beam of 28.40m, a depth of 14.5m, a design draught of 8.50m, a structural draught of 9.70m with a design service speed of 18.7n a design deadweight of 24,000t, and it meets the requirements of unlimited navigation.

The container ship is equipped with low-speed two-stroke main engine. It has 4 cargo holds and up to 7 layers of containers on the deck, and the cargo holds and the deck can be mixed according to the RUSSIAN STOWAGE. Adopting S-BOW line type + rudder with ball twist rudder, the hull resistance performance is excellent.

On April 26th, JLS held a ceremony to hand over the 1400 TEU container ship “BG RED” which was built for Nordic Hamburg Company of Germany.

“BG RED” will mainly operated in the Baltic Sea area of Europe, with an overall length of 169.95m, a beam of 26.9m, a deadweight tonnage of about 20,250t, and it has obtained the Ice Class IA notation. It can not only load all ISO specifications of regular, high and reefer containers, but also can load extended 21, 22, 23 and 24 feet containers. Dangerous goods can be loaded in the cargo hold.

The container ship features the advantages of small scale, complex system, compact arrangement, etc. It reduces the wave resistance of high-speed sailing resistance of while taking into account the economic speed and ballast draught. Equipped with bow and stern side thrusters, it is able to move freely in and out of congested waterways and inland river ports.
