WE successfully delivered the second set of 23220m³ Type-A LPG Cargo Tank

On April 20, Watts Energy & Engineering(WE) successfully delivered the second set of 23220m³ Type-A LPG Cargo Tank for Wison Eni F445 MARINE XII OFFSHORE FLNG Project.

It is understood that FLNG is short for “floating liquefied natural gas” , which is a floating liquefied natural gas processing platform, which can extract natural gas and liquefy and store it, and then transported to various places through LNG carriers. Large FLNG is the most complex, costly and value-added product among the offshore natural gas equipment, which was previously designed and manufactured by foreign enterprises.

The designed annual production capacity of this FLNG project is 2.4 million tons of LNG. Among them, the two Type A liquid cargo tanks undertaken by WE can carry 46,500m³ of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), which is one of the key storage devices for this type of FLNG. The structural weight of the single LPG storage tank is about 1,600 tons, total volume is about 23,220m³, length is 22m, width is 45m, height is 31m, design temperature is -50℃ and the design pressure is 45kpa.

The successful delivery of this Type A tank project is another successful exploration of WE on the basis of the experience of Type C tank and Type B tank, and it also verifies once again the leading strength of WE in the field of LNG/LPG/LCO2 liquid cargo tanks and fuel tanks.
