Mawei Shipbuilding launched a 7,500 ceu ro-ro vessel

On April 20, a 7,500 ceu LNG dual-fuel PCTC (pure car and track carrier) built by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding Ltd.,a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding, for COSCO Shipping Car Carriers was successfully launched.

The Ro-Ro vessel has an overall length of 199.9 meters, a plumb line distance of 195.6 meters, a beam of 38 meters, a depth of 14.8 meters, a design draft of 8.65 meters and a maximum draft of 10 meters. The propulsion system is designed as a single engine with a single propeller, adopting LNG dual-fuel main engine, single bow side thrust and electric RORO system.

The PCTC is classed by ABS and has 13 vehicle decks in the cargo hold, which are mainly used for the transportation of all types of vehicles including heavy trucks and packaged dangerous goods, and is capable of transporting new energy vehicles fueled by hydrogen and natural gas on the 11th, 12th and 13th decks.
