On April 12, Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. successfully delivered GASCHEM AMERICA, the second 40,000m3 dual-fuel LPG/ammonia carrier built for HARTMANN of Germany (flying the Liberian flag).
Classed by DNV, “GASCHEM AMERICA”, which is the second 40,000m3 dual-fuel LPG/ammonia carrier built by Yangzi-Mitsui and is also the world’s second semi-cooled, semi-pressurized 40,000m3 LPG/ammonia carrier. Her sister vessel “GASCHEM EUROPE” has already proved the efficiency of this environmentally friendly LPG/ammonia carrier.
The construction period of “GASCHEM AMERICA” was about 12.5 months, which is 3 months ahead of the contractual delivery date. It has started its maiden voyage on April 16th.
