Recently, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd (CIMC SOE), a subsidiary of CIMC Enrico Holdings Limited (CIMC Enrico), successfully launched S1062, the second 7600m³ LNG bunkering vessel built for Canada’s Seaspan.
The LNG bunkering vessel has an overall length of 112.8 meters, a beam of 18.6 meters and a design draft of 5 meters with a design speed of 13 knots.
The vessel is equipped with 2 azimuth thrusters and 2 bow thrusters for excellent. The design of this vessel integrates the latest technology which improves the capacity of the electrical storage system, further reduces operational pollution emissions and greenhouse gas emissions as well as meets green ship requirements.
Seaspan has reportedly booked three 7600m³ LNG refueling vessels with CIMC SOE. The launched S1062 is scheduled to be delivered this year, as is the first vessel S1061. The launching of this vessel will further lay a solid foundation for the subsequent sea trial and ship delivery, but also is a concentrated manifestation of CIMC’s technological innovation and market competitiveness in the field of clean energy.
