On April 10, Jiangsu Watts Energy & Engineering Co.,Ltd (WE) successfully shipped the 6th set of 1,750m³ LNG fuel tanks for 7,000CEU PCTC project to its customer MitsubishiShipbuilding Co., Ltd (MSB), marking the perfect completion of the PCTC fuel tank project ordered.
This series of LNG fuel tanks has been started since July 2021, and WE has strictly followed the design, manufacturing and quality requirements of MSB and ClassNK, which has been highly approved by the representatives of shipyards and shipowners, such as Imabari Shipyard, NYK and MOL in Japan, and it is another export masterpiece of WE following the market of Europe and South Korea.
With the successful implementation of the MSB project, WE continued to expand its influence in the Japanese market, undertaking a number of products such as Fukuoka Shipyard’s 900m³ LNG fuel tanks, NYK-2650m³ LNG fuel tanks, MOL-3000m³ LNG fuel tanks, etc.
Recently, the 7,000 CEU PCTC “DAISY LEADER”, equipped with WE’s LNG fuel tanks, was delivered to Nippon Yusen (NYK) by Imabari Shipbuilding. The bug out gas (BOG) from the PCTC’s LNG fuel tanks can be used for combustion in the generators and boilers, resulting in a 25-30% reduction in CO2 emissions and virtually no SOx emissions. Equipped with an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system, this PCTC reduces NOx emissions by 80-90%, making this project’s PCTCs among the world’s most environmentally friendly sequence.
As an active participant in the energyequipment industry, WE iscommitted to providing innovative gas energy storage and transportationsolutions, design and manufacture of large-scale special equipment, and shiprepair &retrofit. WE’s products include large-scaled LNG/LEG/LPG marine cargotanks, fuel tanks, cargo handling systems, fuel gas supply systems, gasificationmodules, large offshore wind power equipment, petrochemical pressure vessels, port machinery equipment, etc.
