CPGC’s WinGD X92DF cylinder liner was approved by test drive

Recently, the WinGD X92DF cylinder liner developed by a subsidiary of CSSC Power (Group) Corporation Ltd. (CPGC) was successfully were approved by test drive in 110% fuel oil and 100% gas mode, and the technical indexes meet the design requirements.

As the world’s largest power intelligent electro-control green engine, WinGD X92DF dual-fuel engine adheres to the excellent qualities of X-DF engine family. Cylinder liner is the core component of its friction pair, and in order to meet the requirements of complex working conditions with high temperature and high burst pressure, there are higher requirements for its casting material and processing honing.

It is understood that the WinGD X92DF cylinder liner finished single piece weight of more than 10 tons, with a height of 4 meters and high-pressure area wall thickness of 200 mm.WinGD X92DF dual-fuel engine requires very strict technical indexes such as microstructure of casting material and roughness of honing, which makes it difficult to manufacture.

The success of this trial verification marks a major breakthrough of CPGC in the manufacturing technology of cylinder liner for low-speed marine engines with large cylinders, which makes the company take a solid step forward in the localization development of WinGD X92DF cylinder liner.
