Nantong CIMC SOE Officially Named the First 7200m3 LEG

On April 9, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd (Nantong CIMC SOE) successfully held a naming ceremony for the first 7,200m3 LEG carrier (S1063), which was independently designed and built by Nantong CIMC SOE for Germany’s Hartmann Group. The LEG carrier was christened “GASCHEM FUJI”.

“GASCHEM FUJI” is a green ship with an overall length of about 116 meters, a beam of 18 meters and a depth of 12.3 meters and it is classed by DNV.

Compared with traditional smaller LEG carriers, “GASCHEM FUJI” is equipped with advanced MAN dual-fuel main engine, which not only meets the latest emission requirements, but also significantly reduces carbon dioxide emissions during transportation, making it a model of a new generation of green and environmentally friendly ship type.

Nantong CIMC SOE has a long-term and stable relationship of trust and strategic cooperation with Hartmann Group. Previously, Nantong CIMC SOE has delivered a number of liquefied gas carriers to Hartmann.
