On April 2, a number of commercial vehicles were unloaded from the vessel “COSCO Tengfei” to the storage yard of Xinsha Port Area of Guangzhou Port in an orderly manner, marking that the first batch of European imported vehicles carried by COSCO Shipping Special Transportation Joint Venture Company Cosco Shipping Car Carrier arrived at the port of destination smoothly and will be delivered to the customers soon.
This is the first batch of European return cargoes carried by COSCO Shipping Car Carriers since the opening of the European route on July 8, 2023, which is an important breakthrough for the company in providing European liner service for the automobile manufacturer customer.
COSCO Shipping Car Carriers opens China – Europe liner routes and puts in two 5,000 ceu PCTCs to carry high-quality products made in China to the European market as well as carry products imported from Europe back to China on the return trip to meet the strong demand for import and export of automobiles from and to China.
To provide good transportation service for the first batch of return cargo, COSCO Shipping Car Carriers communicated with the customer in advance to reserve space, fully communicated with the operation standard, and appointed experienced port captains to supervise the loading at the loading port site. With the strong support from Guangzhou Xinsha Terminal, port and other departments, the first batch of return cargo was safely and efficiently unloaded to the yard.
As early as in May 2023, COSCO Shipping Car Carriers applied for the international certification of DUNS code, possessing the commercial qualification of overseas access, which further enhanced the company’s commercial reputation in the global scope; in October 2023, it passed the certification of QHSE management system, which has reached the international advanced level in terms of enterprise management, quality control, environment and occupational health and safety, and has laid a solid foundation for the participation in the competition of the international market.
Meanwhile, the 24 PCTCs under construction for COSCO Shipping Car Carriers are all equipped with LNG dual-fuel power systems, which can achieve a carbon reduction rate of more than 24%.
