New Yangzi Shipbuilding Delivered 3500 TEU Container Ship “MAERSK YOSEMITE”

On the morning of April 2, MAERSK YOSEMITE, a 3,500 TEU container ship built and delivered by Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group, for the Japanese shipowner, LEPTA, sailed from the dock of the shipyard and put into operation by MAERSK.

“MAERSK YOSEMITE” has an overall length of 200 meters, a beam of 36.4 meters and a depth of 20.6 meters and is classed by ABS. The construction of the container ship started in May 2023 and was successfully completed with the cooperation of the owner’s representative, PD on-site supervisory team, ABS Classification Society and the shipyard.

It is understood that there are 10 container ships in the series, “MAERSK YOSEMITE” is the ninth in the series, the shipowner is LEPTA company. After delivery, it will be put into operation in the Maersk fleet.
