Recently, Shandong Shipping Corporation(SDSC) named and received two tankers “CL TONI MORRISON” and “AUGENSTERN”.
“CL TONI MORRISON” is the 9th in the series of 10 tankers of 50,000 dwt Class II chemical tankers built by New Times Shipbuilding for the shipowner China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Ltd., and it is also the 17th tanker built by New Times Shipbuilding for Shandong Shipping Tanker Co., Ltd. The tanker has signed long-term charter with BP, WECO Group and other international oil companies respectively.
“AUGENSTERN” is the second tanker to enter the simplified chemical tanker pool of the Tanker Company Aries project, which is organized and operated in conjunction with the world-renowned product tanker Scorpio Group.
It is understood that the two tankers delivered this time are the new generation TypeII MR tankers developed in accordance with the transportation demand of the international liquid cargo market, with excellent performance and green environmental protection. The tanker has an overall length of 183 meters, a beam of 32 meters, a structural draft of 13.29 meters with a speed of about 14.5 knots. It is installed with 20 cargo holds, with a cargo hold capacity of about 50,000 m3, which meets the International Maritime Organization’s Tier III emission standards.
