SWS’s off-site shipbuilding has become fruitful

Recently, the 7000 TEU container ship H1534 built by Yangzhong Branch of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS), smoothly out of the dock, which is the largest container ship built in Zhenjiang.

H1534 has an overall length of 272.0 meters, a beam of 42.8 meters, a depth of 24.6 meters with a design capacity of 7,000 TEUs. Before leaving the dock, H1534 has completed 100% of the painting of engine room cabin, special painting cabin and fresh water cabin, and the completion rate of the painting of bottom ballast tank has reached 50%. And it has completed the important node projects such as emergency generator inspection, main power generation motor vehicle and boiler ignition in the dock four days ago. After leaving the dock, the container ship will fully start the dock mooring test, laying the foundation for sea trial and final delivery.

On the same day, H1382, built by Yangzhong Branch of SWS for Thailand RCL Company, achieved 6-ring floating. Meanwhile, H1382’s bow and half ship assembly sections were all started, making full preparation for the docking of the overall section painting integrity and the continuous and efficient loading.

It is understood that in October last year, SWS and Jiangsu New Hantong Ship Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (NHT) signed a strategic cooperation agreement and settled in Yangzhong City. The two sides will work together to open a full range of cooperation in ship technology, enterprise management, information technology construction, shipbuilding, personnel training and other aspects, and will reserve spare capacity for SWS’s new ship construction to provide protection.

In the middle of November last year, the pre-processing line of SWS Yangzhong Branch has been formally launched, and H1534 is the first container ship built by SWS Yangzhong Branch.
