According to the official weibo news of Haidong Shipyard, on March 26, the shipyard signed a contract for a 13,800T oil/chemical tanker with Zhoushan Zhongtuo Marine Shipping Co.,Ltd.
Designed by Zhejiang Ship Seahead Design And Research Institute (Seahead), the ship has an overall length of 129.98 meters, a beam of 22.00 meters and a depth of 11.60 meters, and is a double-hulled, double-bottomed, oil/chemical tanker navigating in the international navigation area.
According to statistics, this is the first new order made public by the Haidong Shipyard this year.
Haidong Shipyard is a state-owned shipbuilding enterprise founded in 1958.
The Shipyard located in No. 286 Waisha Road, Jiaojiang District, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province covers a building area of 280mu and enjoys a coastline which is more than 700m long.
The enterprise mainly has the following production facilities and equipment: 6 large slipways (the largest one is 50,000 tonnage) and supporting segmented slipways; 12 large cranes (the largest one is 300 tonnage), ten thousands of tonnage of outfitting wharf, 5,000m2 PSPC painting and coating workshop for two times of painting and two times of coating, 320t self-propelled flat car and a complete set of planking processing and plasma cutting equipment, etc.
