On March 27th, the CCS class unlimited navigation area multipurpose deck cargo vessel “Lanhai Hongyun”, which was researched and developed by Jiangsu Ship Design & Research Institute and built by Zhenjiang Zhenxing Shipbuilding Industry Co. Ltd.
“Lanhai Hongyun” has a length of 172.8m, a width of 40.2m with a deadweight of 29,000t and a full load speed of 16kn and a deck load capacity of 28t/m2 to 30t/m2. It has four gensets and is propelled by a three-propeller hybrid.
As a multipurpose deck cargo vessel, “Lanhai Hongyun” is not only suitable for heavy equipment and offshore wind power equipment, but also can load containers to meet the capacity of international trade import and export.
In addition, the vessel is equipped with the same DP-2 power positioning system and four-point mooring positioning system of the polar research icebreaker “Xuelong 2”, which can adapt to the wind and waves at sea and different hydrological conditions, providing a guarantee for navigation safety.
According to introduction, the vessel has broken through a number of key technologies in the process of research and development, and is a typical high-tech, high value-added marine engineering vessel.
