On March 19/20, Jiangnan Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), successfully completed the sea trial of 93,000m3 VLGC series first ship (H2742) for Pearl Petrochemical Company and 98,000m3 VLEC series first ship (H2781) for Wanhua Chemical Group Co.,Ltd.
During the trial voyage, the two ships successfully completed the whole ship navigation test project, the main engine lifting cylinder inspection, to ensure the first “voyage” of the two ships.
As the two ships set sea trial one after another, the difficulty in the deployment of personnel and resources has been upgraded. The triumph of the two ships showed that Jiangnan Shipbuilding’s ability of parallel construction and intensive delivery has been further improved in the process of construction of ultra-large liquefied gas carriers.
