Pinghu Huahai Shipbuilding delivered China’s largest and most advanced catamaran high-performance wind power CTV

March 22, Hai Feng 5202, the first wind power crew transfer vessel (CTV) in Haifeng 5000 series of double-hull high-performance CTVs, which was developed and invested by CCCC Haifeng Wind Power Develpoment, was delivered by Pinghu Huahai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.

“Haifeng 5202” is the latest generation of offshore wind power CTV built for CCCC Haifeng Wind Power Develpoment. Classed by China Classification Society (CCS), the wind power CTV has a catamaran structure, with an overall length of 40 meters, a beam of 10.8 meters, a depth of 5.2 meters with a trial speed of more than 18 knots, an endurance of 1,000 nautical miles, a rated passenger load of 12 people. With good speed and strong wave resistance, it is the largest and most advanced first-made catamaran high-performance CTV in China.

Adopting high dry-docking design concept, and combined with high-power main propulsion system configuration, “Haifeng 5202” is able to ensure the sailing rate and topside performance, and meet the requirements of safe operation in Class IV sea state and safe navigation in Class V sea state.

The CTV is equipped with folding arm crane, special top leaning rubber fenders, reserved boarding wave compensation trestle and other key equipment, research and development application of safe operation and maintenance assessment and decision-making system. Meanwhile, it is equipped with the emergency protection function of transferring diesel fuel and fresh water from the marine electric pump to the offshore booster station, which can be applied to the deep-sea offshore wind power transportation express operation and maintenance service.
