Recently, Sainty Shipbuilding (Yangzhou) Corp. Ltd (Sainty Shipbuilding (Yangzhou)) held a kick-off ceremony for the construction of MR50000 DWT tanker for Zhejiang Fuhua Shipbuilding Import and Export Co., Ltd.
MR 50,000 DWT tanker is the first unit of the series of tankers built by Sainty Shipbuilding (Yangzhou) for Zhejiang Fuhua Shipbuilding Import and Export. With an overall length of 182.9 meters, a beam of 32.26 meters, a depth of 19.1 meters, and a design speed of 14.5 knots, which is classified by CCS and meets the requirements of unlimited navigation area.
The main engine and generator adopt SCR technology, and the cargoes to be transported are IMO Class 2, Class 3 chemicals or refined oil products, and the tanker is scheduled to be delivered in May 2025.
Established in September 2004, Sainty Shipbuilding Yangzhou Corporation Ltd. is a joint venture shipbuilding enterprise held by Jiangsu Sainty Corp., Ltd. , is located in the Economic Development Zone along the Yangtze River in the southeast of Yizheng, Jiangsu Province.
The shipbuilding enterprise covers an area of about 1,050 acres and a shoreline length of 930 meters, with 1 dock, 1 slipway, 2 outfitting wharves, and two 500-ton door cranes. The main products are bulk carriers, container ships, heavy lift vessels, multi-purpose vessels and offshore vessels of less than 100,000 tons.
