Fujian Province’s largest purely electric high-end passenger ship to set sail

On March 21st, Fujian Funing Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group, held a maiden voyage ceremony of “Minjiang Huiketing”, the largest pure electric high-end river passenger ship in Fujian Province.

The “Minjiang Huiketing” measures 40 meters in length, 10.10 meters in width, 2.20 meters in depth, with a design draught of 1.20 meters, an economic speed of 6.5 knots, and a maximum speed of not less than 10 knots.

Based on the navigation conditions of Minjiang River, the passenger ship is designed according to the requirements of B-class navigation area excursion ship to meet the function of passenger transportation.

The passenger ship adopts the ancient architectural culture of Fuzhou for its configuration and layout, and is a key demonstration project for electric ships in Fujian Province. It is purely battery-powered, with zero pollution and low noise.
