On March 20, Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry held a naming ceremony for GREEN ITAQUI, a 77,000 dwt multi-purpose pulp vessel, built for SPDB Financial Leasing. It is the third 77,000 dwt multi-purpose pulp vessel built by Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry.
“GREEN ITAQUI” measures 225 meters in overall length, 32.26 meters in breadth and 21 meters in depth, with a design speed of 15 knots. With good sealing and dryness in the cargo hold, it can fully guarantee the quality and safety of pulp cargo transportation.
By upgrading the “special frame for collapsible commercial vehicles” and adding a “one-to-one” temperature monitoring and warning system for new energy vehicles, it can safely transport new energy vehicles while safely carrying imported pulp in high quality, helping domestic new energy vehicles to leave the country in large quantities.
In addition, the multi-purpose pulp vessel with excellent cargo hold suitability can also transport a wide range of cargoes such as high-speed trains, wind power equipment, large machinery and equipment and ultra-long and ultra-heavy steel pipe pile structures.
The pollutant NOx emission of the shipbuilding meets the highest requirements of international conventions (Tier III), the vibration and noise meet the requirements of the Rules for Green Eco-ships of China Classification Society (CCS) which is in force now and the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) far exceeds the requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Phase III (EEDI Phase III).
