On March 19th, Jiangxi New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd (New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry) and MERCURIUS SHIPBUILDING B.V (MERCURIUS), a Dutch shipowner, held a signing ceremony for four 135-meter duplex stainless steel chemical tankers.
Classed by Lloyd’s Register (LR), this duplex stainless steel chemical tanker is a special ship with high technology content, high value-added and broad market prospect. It can meet the special requirements of corrosion-resistant and high-strength cargo hold materials, and can carry a variety of liquid cargoes, including chemicals and petrochemical products.
Following the successful signing of six duplex stainless steel chemical tankers for domestic shipowners, Xin Jiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry has successfully signed an order for four 135-meter duplex stainless steel chemical tankers, marking that the company has returned to the high-end chemical tanker market in Europe. At present, the company has won orders for 10 stainless steel chemical tankers.
