On March 15, Aulong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Jianglong Shipbuilding and an international brand Austal, delivered “Haifeng 5101”, the first wind power crew transfer vessel (CTV) in Haifeng 5000 series of High-speed Catamaran Aluminum CTVs.
“Haifeng 5101” is the latest generation of offshore wind power CTV built for CCCC Haifeng Wind Power Develpoment. It is classed by China Classification Society (CCS), with all-aluminum catamaran and semi-small waterline surface structure design.
This CTV has an overall length of 33.2 meters, a beam of 10.8 meters, a depth of 4.4 meters, with a trial speed of about 27 knots, an endurance of 500 nautical miles, and a crew of 12 people, with good speed and strong wave resistance. It has an overall length of 33.2 meters, a beam of 10.8 meters, a depth of 4.4 meters, a trial speed of about 27 knots, a range of 500 nautical miles, and a crew of 12 people, with good speed and strong wave resistance. It is currently China’s first semi-small waterline surface type all-aluminum catamaran wind power CTV vessel type.
This ship type is a real semi-small waterline surface ship type with independent intellectual property rights, which has excellent rapidity, as well as better wave resistance and seaworthiness than ordinary catamarans.
The CTV adopts high dry-docking design concept to reduce wave slamming, combined with high-power main propulsion system configuration, which can ensure the sailing rate and topside performance, and meet the requirements of safe operation in Class IV sea state and safe navigation in Class V sea state.
Equipped with special topside rubber fenders, it is designed to reserve key equipments such as folding arm crane, boarding and riding wave compensation trestle, etc. Meanwhile, it features the function of emergency guarantee for fuel and water supply of offshore booster station, which can be applied to deep-sea offshore wind power service.
After delivery, Haifeng 5101 will be listed in CCCC Haifeng Wind Power Develpoment’s offshore wind power intelligent operation and maintenance platform Traffic Express, operation and service in Fujian, Guangdong, Hainan and other sea area wind power projects.
