XMXYG SOE Receives Order for 8 methanol-ready 64,000DWT Bulk Carriers

On March 12, XMXYG Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd.(XMXYG SOE) signed a contract with Xiamen Financial Leasing and COSCO Shipping Bulk for the construction of 8 methanol-ready 64,000DWT bulk carriers.

It is reported that the eight 64,000DWT methanol-ready bulk carriers signed this time adopt new ship materials and technologies, and are intended to be fueled by methanol. Compared with the same types of bulk carriers at home and abroad, it features higher load capacity, lower fuel consumption and greener environment, which can bring more considerable economic benefits to the ship owner.

In recent years, XMXYG SOE has complied with the development trend of green and low-carbon shipping, fully grasped the opportunities, ploughed into the bulk carrier market, focused on technological innovation and process optimization. And at present, the total order quantity of Ultramax series bulk carriers undertook by XMXYG SOE has exceeded 100 units, which is ranked the first among the shipyards in China.
