CSSC 704 Research Institute‘s new energy equipment core products issued CCS certification

Recently, the core products independently developed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) 704 Research Institute have been rapidly iterated. The Energy Management System for Battery-Powered Ships and the Next-generation Battery Packs have been approved by China Classification Society (CCS).

The next-generation two-type lithium with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs based on different forms of thermal management technologies are categorized into liquid-cooled battery packs and naturally cooled battery packs, which can meet the application requirements of different ship types.

The highest protection level of the battery pack reaches IP67, and the energy density has improved an iterative of about 8%. Its safety, charging and discharging multiplier, and intelligence level have all been greatly improved. By nearly 2 months of drawing review and 3 months of performance and reliability test, the product finally obtained the certificate of approval CCS.

In addition, Energy Management System for Battery-Powered Ships developed by 704 Research Institute, which has completely independent intellectual property rights, has also obtained the approval in principle(AIP) of CCS. This product deeply fits the energy management characteristics of pure battery-powered ships, which can reasonably utilize the energy of the whole ship with high efficiency, construct the safety defense line of the ship’s power system, and comprehensively improve the safety, reliability and system efficiency of pure battery-powered ships.
