On March 5, COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) Co.,Ltd. held a Conversion Project Opening Ceremony for the Ro-pax Vessel “CONTESSA DI LEVANTE”, marking that the project formally entered the construction stage.
“CONTESSA DI LEVANTE” is a Ro-Ro vessel with an overall length of 140.81 meters and a beam of 20.5 meters, which can carry buses, trucks and passengers.
The main conversion project includes the whole internal structure renovation, part of the hull structure renovation and interior decoration all replaced, to make it meet the requirements of international short-haul ro-ro vessels.
It is reported that COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) has accumulated rich construction experience in the business fields of Ro-pax Vessel conversion and luxury cruise ship repair and modification.
