GSI delivers 4th 110,000 dwt dual fuel tanker to VISTA

On February 29, Guangzhou Shipbuilding International (GSI), a subsidiary of CSSC, together with CSTC, named and delivered the 110,000 dwt LNG dual fuel crude oil/products tanker No. 4 built for VISTA, a joint venture between CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company Limited and Hafnia. Heidi Akre, Statoil’s Vice President of Shipping, named the vessel HAFNIA LILLESAND.

HAFNIA LILLESAND was signed and delivered on February 28, and will be operated by Equinor, which is the sixth tanker of this series built and delivered by GSI.

As reported, the environmentally friendly crude oil/products tanker is an upgraded LR II type LNG dual-fuel tanker independently developed, designed and built by GSI, which is also the dual-fuel powered tanker with the highest “configuration” in South China. While adopting both fuel oil and liquefied natural gas for propulsion, the line shape of the tanker has also been optimized. In addition, it is equipped with cargo oil heating management system, energy efficiency management system and a variety of energy-saving devices, the performance and configuration reache the top level in the world.
