Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Delivers LNG Dual-Fuel 7000TEU Container Ship ZIM PEARL

On March 1, ZIM PEARL, the fifth LNG dual-fuel 7,000 TEU container ship built by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group’s New Yangzi Shipbuilding for the shipowner SEASPAN and ZIM, was delivered and put into operation by ZIM, and started its maiden voyage.

ZIM PEARL has an overall length of 272 meters, a beam of 42.8 meters and a depth of 24.6 meters, and carries Type B 9% Nickel steel LNG fuel tanks.

It is the fifth unit in a series of 15 container ship of the same type, which started construction in February 2023. The construction quality and craftsmanship of this series of container ships have been improved continuously, and the construction cycle of ZIM PEARL has been shortened by 2 and a half months compared with the first unit.

It is reported that on February 21st, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group, together with SEASPAN and ZIM, held a naming ceremony for the ZIM PEARL.
