On February 29, Xiamen International Cruise Home Port Group Co., Ltd placed an order for a 360-passenger pure electric new energy passenger ship. Xiamen Bay Sea Passenger Co., a subsidiary of Xiamen International Cruise Home Port Group, Fujian Funing Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. and Wuxi DongFang High-speed Craft Development Co., Ltd. jointly signed a shipbuilding contract.
It is the first purely electric passenger ship classed by China Classification Society (CCS) and is expected to be completed and delivered in June 2025, which is tentatively named “Yujian 77”.
Yujian 77 closely follows the concept of “green development” , integrating energy efficiency and tourism needs into the ship construction. The ship has an overall length of 49 meters, a width of 14.5 meters, a depth of 4.15 meters and a maximum capacity of 360 passengers. Equipped with 2 sets of 450 kW propulsion motors, adopting full-rotary counter-rotating paddles, and fitted with a 3,920-degree battery pack, it can travel about 45 nautical miles on a single charge, which is equivalent to 4 trips of operating sea night cruise voyages.
Yujian 77 can reduce fuel consumption by about 242.7 tons per year, reduce all kinds of harmful gas emissions by about 5.89 tons, and reduce carbon emissions by about 425 tons, which is equivalent to planting 21,250 trees, and is exemplary for accelerating the green and low-carbon development in the field of maritime tourism and passenger transportation.
Yujian 77 has a unique appearance, with a perfect combination of the hull appearance and the egret’s artistic modeling. The ship is divided into three floors, with cabins on the first and second floors and a sightseeing deck on the third floor. The cabins utilize floor-to-ceiling glass, and travelers can experience the 360-degree unobstructed view from the sightseeing deck.
After the completion，the ship will be operated for sea tour routes，to further highlight the “young，exquisite，romantic” tourism theme. By upgrading and upgrading of the ship, for the “to Xiamen, the sea tour” signboard to add luster.
