Italian shipowner Fratelli Cosulich has taken delivery of its second LNG bunkering vessel, Paolina Cosulich, from Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd (Nantong CIMC SOE) in China.
With an overall length of 113 meters, a beam of 20 meters, a depth of 13.5 meters, a design draft of 6.35 meters and a deadweight of approximately 5,300 tons, the LNG refueling vessel is classed by RINA. This 5,300 DWT vessel can carry 8,200 m3 of LNG and 500 m3 of MGO. Equipped with Wärtsilä’s dual-fuel technology, its propulsion and maneuvering system is of the azimuth type with double bow thrusters. As an important ship type of the new generation of green and intelligent vessel, it is fully capable of LNG refueling and meets the global emission standards.
Designed and built independently by CIMC SOE, the project consists of two 8,200 m3 LNG refueling vessels. Paolina Cosulich, named and launched on June 26, 2023, was the second vessel in the series, and its sister vessel Fratelli Cosulich having been delivered in October 2023.
