Two vessels built by Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding left the dock in a row

On February 23rd, the first feeder container ship (H2483) of 1,600 TEU series batch-built by CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding for Asia Ocean Shipping, left the dock.

The 1600TEU feeder container ship is a new ship type developed based on CA SHIPPING’s operational demand for Yangon route, taking into account the operational demand for Bangkok and other Southeast Asian routes.

Measuring 166.95m in overall length, 27.5m in breadth, 14.50m in depth, 8.5m in design draft, 16.95 knots in design speed, the container ship can load 1,640 TEUs, and has a full load capacity of 23,700 tons, which meets the requirements of the third stage of the Ship Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI).

On the same day, the 32,000DWT heavy lift vessel 2# (H2470), which was batch-built for AAL SHIPPING by CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding, was also successfully left the dock.

With an overall length of 179.9 meters, a beam of 30 meters, and a structural draft of 9 meters, the 32,000 dwt heavy lift vessel is equipped with 3 sets of 350-ton heavy lift cranes, with a maximum lifting capacity of 700 tons, which increases the convenience of loading and unloading cargoes and meets the Tier III emission requirements of the IMO (International Maritime Organization).

It is reported that these two types of vessels are the products optimized by Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding in accordance with the market demand in recent years.
