CSSC Marine Power Zhenjiang obtained a batch order of methanol dual-fuel generating sets

Recently, CSSC Marine Power Zhenjiang Co.,Ltd (CMP), a subsidiary of CSSC Power (Group) Corporation Ltd. (CPGC), has obtained an order for methanol dual-fuel generating sets from Wuchang Shipbuilding and Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding. This is another batch order following the success of the world’s first CMP-MAN 7L21/31DF-M methanol dual-fuel main generating sets project of China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu) Co.

It is reported that this batch of orders is total 9 sets, respectively for methanol dual-fuel + sail-powered ro-ro vessels project of Wuchang Shipbuilding and the methanol dual-fuel electric propulsion refueling vessel project of Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding, which will be delivered successively in the first half of 2025.

CMP provides 21/31 methanol dual-fuel gensets, which are featured by modularization and light weight, easy to arrange and maintain, and the methanol pipeline design adopts double-wall structure to ensure the high safety of this model. The gensets can realize the free switching of methanol dual-fuel mode and diesel mode, with strong flexibility in fuel use.

The power range of the genset is 1000kW-1980kW, which is widely applied to the main genset of merchant ships and the electric propulsion genset of small ships, and has a broad market prospect.
