On February 19th, the 13,000 TEU ultra-large container ship “Xinshidai Juli 3” built by Jiangsu New Times Shipbuilding Co., left the river for sea trial.
The 13,000 TEU container ship is 335 meters long, 51.0 meters wide, 27.3 meters deep, with a maximum height above the water of 57.8 meters, and a maximum container capacity of up to 13,000 TEUs, and is expected to be delivered on March 4th.
It is understood that New Times Shipbuilding’s project of four 13,000 TEU container ships was officially launched in May 2022, valued at $412 million. At present, there are two unites have been delivered, and the “Xinshidai Juli 3” is the third one of this series.
