On February 19, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd,(SWS) a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), started the construction of the second 114,000 dwt Aframax product tanker built for Singapore’s EPS.
The 114,000 dwt product tanker is designed by SWS and classed by LR. It has an overall length of 249.95 meters, a beam of 44.0 meters, a depth of 21.2 meters, a design draft of 13.5 meters and a design speed of 14.5 kn. The main engine of is MAN B&W 6G60ME-C10.5, which meets TIER Ⅲ specification.
It is reported that this tanker is the second ship to be started by SWS in 2024, and also the fourth 114,000 dwt Aframax product tanker built in batch by the shipyard, marking the increasing maturity of SWS’s batch construction mode for 114,000 dwt Aframax product tankers.
