CMJL (Weihai) completed the maintenance project for a ro-pax vessel

On February 17th, China Merchants Jingling Shipyard (Weihai) Co. Ltd. CMJL (Weihai) completed the docking maintenance project of RIZHAO ORIENT. It is reported that this is the first maintenance project of CMJL (Weihai) in the year of the dragon.

It is understood that “Rizhao Orient” is one of the largest tonnage and most advanced high-speed passenger vessels in China-Korea ro-ro routes. It has an overall length of 199 meters, a width of 26.6 meters, a depth of 6.4 meters, a deadweight of 8,500 tons.

The ro-pax vessel is equipped with Wärtsilä twin main engines and can sail at a speed of 23 knots. It can carry 360 TEU containers per voyage and is equipped with 110 freezing plug ports on board.

At present, CMJL (Weihai) is stepping up the dismantling and inspection of auxiliary engines, motors and other equipments to ensure that the follow-up work is carried out in an orderly manner.
