Recently, the Russia’s Elga company announced a contract with a Chinese shipyard for the construction of Аrc4 ice-class tugboats, without disclosing the specific shipyard.
It is said that the Arc4 ice-class tugboats will perform mooring operations in the waters of the coal terminal. It will be 29.8 metres long, 10.43 metres wide and has a draft of 4.9 metres. The tugboat is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2024.
According to the official website, Elga manages a portfolio of coal production and transportation assets. The Company’s facilities are located in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Khabarovsk Krai and Primorsky Krai, and Amur Oblast.
