Recently, Jiangsu Watts Energy & Engineering Co., Ltd (WE) delivered the first set of 1200 cubic metres LNG fuel tank series to Mitsubishi, Japan, which will be equipped for 3,000 ceu car carrier (PCTC).

Compared with the same type of ship using traditional heavy fuel oil, the new LNG dual-fuel ship is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 25 %, which is another achievement of the close cooperation between the two companies in the field of gas equipment technology.

It is understood that the project includes two tanks, each with an internal diameter of up to 7 metres and a total length of 33.6 metres. These fuel tanks have been designed and manufactured in accordance with Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) specifications to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.
