On February 6, Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd.(XSI) successfully delivered a 2900 TEU container ship to East Pacific Shipping Company (EPS). Thus, four container ships of this series have been delivered.
The 2900 TEU container ship is newly developed by Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute (SDARI) under China Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), which is the second generation of Chittagong-type green, energy-saving and environmentally friendly container ship.
It has a length of 185.99 meters, a breadth of 35.20 meters, a depth of 17.20 meters, a full load draft of 11.00 meters and a deadweight of about 36,380 tons.
