COSCO SHIPPING Shipyard (Nantong) undertakes a conversion project for LNG dual-fuel gas supply system

On 2nd February, COSCO SHIPPING Shipyard (Nantong) Co., Ltd. and the Shipowner Matson signed an order for the LNG dual-fuel gas supply system conversion project for the vessel “KAIMANA HILA”.

Shipowner Matson Company is one of the most important core customers of COSCO SHIPPING Shipyard (Nantong). This project is the 70th cooperation between the two parts in 25 years.

The ship has a length of 260.3 metres, a beam of 35.0 metres, a depth of 21.0 metres, a draught of 12.2 metres and a total of 3,600 TEUs. The main project is to install LNG dual-fuel gas supply and control system for the main engine and four auxiliary engines, as well as the installation of three 1,350 m3 LNG fuel tanks and the installation of system-related equipment for fire suppression, ventilation, lighting, communications, monitoring and control, and other related equipment.

It is understood that this conversion project is the fourth dual-fuel conversion project undertaken by COSCO SHIPPING Shipyard (Nantong) since 2021.
