Recently, Fujian Guohang Ocean Shipping (Group) Co., Ltd (Guohang Ocean Shipping) and Jiangsu Haitong Offshore Engineering Equipment Co.,Ltd.(JSHT) held a signing ceremony for two 73,800DWT bulk carriers.
The contracted 73,800DWT bulk carrier will be reserved for methanol dual-fuel power system. This ship type has acquired three class notations for methanol dual-fuel, i.e. S, P, m. It has also applied a number of new energy-saving technologies, including the introduction of a 400KW photovoltaic power generation system and 3,918kWh energy storage batteries, so that the photovoltaic power generation can be used as soon as it is generated in the operation of the ship, and the excess portion will be put into the energy storage batteries as a back-up. Thus, it can fulfil the effect of zero emission of ship power station, greater carbon emission reduction and environmental protection of the ship.
In addition, the 73800 DWT bulk carrier also applies ship intelligence technology, which includes: ship navigation auxiliary safety system, ship energy efficiency system, electromechanical equipment monitoring and analysing system and information integration platform.
According to an announcement made by Guohang Ocean Shipping on 29 January, the contract price of each ship is RMB 216 million (including VAT), and belongs to the optional ships of 4+2 73,800 DWT bulk carriers signed between the two patrs in January 2023.
In addition to the above two ships, on 2nd February, Hua Yuan Xing Marine Co., Ltd. and JSHT held a signing ceremony for two 65,000 DWT bulk carriers.
The two new vessels are purely river and sea vessels for domestic trade with 65,000 DWT, which mainly operate on the Yangtze River route and mainly serve the coal transport of China Huadian’s power plants along the river. Upon completion, the capacity of Huayuansing Marine’s own vessels will increase to 477,000 deadweight tonnes.
