CSSC Chengxi Shipyard delivered a 63,500 DWT bulk carrier

On 1st February, the fourth 63,500 DWT series bulk carrier “PACIFIC CHERRY” built by CSSC Chengxi Shipyard Co. Ltd, was delivered ahead of schedule to Huaxia Financial Leasing Co. , Ltd.

It is reported that PACIFIC CHERRY is the upgraded version of “Dolphin” 64,000 DWT bulk carrier. The ship has an overall length of 199.90 metres, a beam of 32.26 metres, a design draught of 13.50 metres, a service speed of 13.50 knots and is classed by ABS.

With further optimisation of structural lines, the ship’s rapidity and wave resistance are significantly improved, and it meets the third stage standard of ship energy efficiency index. Moreover, it is equipped with vortex eliminating fins and front-guided wheel energy saving device for lower fuel consumption and more energy saving and environmental protection.

It is reported that the key processes of the ship’s launching and sea trial set a new record in the history of CSSC Chengxi Shipyard.
