Xingtong Shipping’s 12,000 dwt stainless steel chemical tanker “XT Brightness” put into operation

On 1st February 2024, the 12,000 DWT duplex stainless steel chemical tanker XT BRIGHTNESS was officially put into service on its maiden voyage from Korea to China.

It is understood that “XT BRIGHTNESS” is built by Taizhou Wuzhou Shipbuilding, classed by China Classification Society(CCS) and sailing in the international unlimited navigation area.

The stainless steel chemical tanker is 138.8 metres long, 19.2 metres wide and 10.6 metres deep. There are 10 double-phase stainless steel liquid cargo tanks, single tank, single pump, with a total tank capacity of about 13,363m³, which can carry Class II and III chemicals specified by IMO. It is designed to sail at 12.4 knots and is equipped with advanced selective catalytic reduction (SCR) denitrification device, which effectively reduces NOx emission.

It is learnt that “XT Brightness” is managed by IMC Ship Management Pte Ltd .
